Google Pixel 10 Pro XL Really Worth it?

But is it worth every rupee for an Indian buyer? I spent 3 full weeks with this phone as my only device — and here is my completely honest take.
I used it through a road trip from Bangalore to Coorg, at a family wedding in Jaipur, on hot summer afternoons, and through long work-from-home days. Real Indian conditions — not a lab test.

Design & Build Quality
The Pixel 10 Pro XL has a clean, minimal look. You get the iconic horizontal camera bar on the back, flat aluminum sides, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on both front and back. At 232 grams and 6.8 inches, this is a big phone — one-hand use is not really possible.
I picked the Jade color — a soft green with gold camera bar accents. In real life it turns heads. The Obsidian (matte black) is cleaner and more professional looking. The phone feels solid, no flex, no creaks — exactly what you expect at this price.
Real Use — Cricket Match Outside
Even after three weeks, the Jade back still looks clean with barely any fingerprints. The fingerprint sensor is fast and unlocks on the first attempt every time. I once left it on a wet slab for 15 minutes by mistake, but thanks to the IP68 rating, the phone stayed completely safe.

Brightness Tested in Real Sunlight
The 6.8-inch Super Actua LTPO OLED display runs at an adaptive 1–120Hz and can hit a peak of 3000 nits in sunlight. In Jaipur during 43°C summer afternoon — this display was 100% visible and readable. That is genuinely impressive and something I have not experienced with most phones.
Colors are natural and balanced — not over-saturated like Samsung, not cool and clinical like iPhone. Whether I was reading, watching IPL on Hotstar, or editing photos — the screen was a joy to use. The always-on display is also very useful and barely affects battery.

Daytime photos are sharp, detailed, and have accurate natural colors. At a family wedding in Jaipur, the Pixel captured skin tones and saree colors exactly as they looked in real life — no over-processing, no artificial look.
Night photography is where Pixel pulls further ahead of everyone. At the wedding at 11 PM with only fairy lights, the Night Sight mode produced clean, bright photos with zero noise. The Magic Eraser feature removed a random guest from a group photo in about 3 seconds — worked perfectly.
The 5x periscope zoom is genuinely useful at events. I zoomed in on the groom during a ceremony from 20 feet away and the shot was sharp and clear. Up to about 15x the quality is excellent. Beyond 30x it starts getting soft, but 5–15x is very impressive.

Google’s new Tensor G5 chip, made on TSMC’s 3nm process, is the biggest improvement over previous Pixel chips. The overheating that plagued Tensor G3 and G4 is largely gone. In 3 weeks of heavy use — multitasking, calls, photography, streaming — the phone stayed comfortably cool.
Day-to-day speed is excellent. Apps open instantly, switching between 15 open apps is smooth, the UI never stutters. However, if you play BGMI or Genshin Impact at maximum settings for 30+ minutes, the Snapdragon 8 Elite (in OnePlus 13 or Samsung S25) will outperform Tensor G5. Google’s chip is built for AI tasks, camera processing, and everyday productivity — not gaming benchmarks.
Who should buy this? Working professionals, content creators, photography enthusiasts, and anyone who values a clean Android experience with long-term updates. If gaming is your main use, look at the OnePlus 13 (₹69,999) instead — it is better for gaming and half the price.
Battery Power
Battery Life — A Full Day, Every Day
The 5200mAh battery with 45W fast charging reliably gets through a full day. On a normal workday — 4 hours screen-on time, calls, some social media, a few photos — I ended with 30–40% remaining. On the day of the wedding shoot with 4 hours of camera use, continuous display-on, and calls, I reached home at 18% and plugged in.
45W charging fills 0 to 60% in about 35 minutes and full in about 75 minutes. That is fast enough to top up during a lunch break. The Qi2 magnetic wireless charging is a bonus feature — once you have a Qi2 pad at your desk, it becomes a habit to just set the phone down to charge.
